Luso-Canadian Feast Celebrations

Madeira Park, fifty acres of beautiful, wildland, hosted a Portuguese, Canadian picnic with the traditional foods cooked over a wood fire, bifanas, delicious sandwiches and Bolo Do Caco, fresh off the grill, smeared with yummy garlic butter. The park was packed with families and Portuguese music was playing throughout the woods. Madeira Park is named after the autonomous region of Portugal, the Madeira Islands off the northeast coast of Africa. The picnic happens every year and everyone is welcome to come and it’s a wonderful experience to be immersed in the Portuguese culture with the delicious aromas, the great sounds of the music and all the friendly people.
